Have a Permanent Toiletry Bag
Keeping a bag of toiletries permanently packed and ready to go at a moment’s notice is a great way to forego forgetting any crucial items. Stock the bag with deodorant, body wash, toothpaste, shampoo, Band-Aids, and anything else you need. Keep the toiletries in a sealed bag, then place that bag in your luggage so it’s ready for your next family vacation.
Copy Your Itinerary
Losing your luggage is the first major blow to a ruined family vacation. Not all hope is lost if you place copies of your itinerary in each bag, though. Airlines can only forward your lost luggage to where they know to find you. Make copies of your complete itinerary, home address and all, in each bag. Make sure to include hotel addresses too.
Roll Your Clothes
Folding clothes and placing them one on top of the other can result in a lack of space. You shouldn’t have to pick and choose what clothes to take and leave at home. Fortunately, rolling your clothes into tube shapes can increase the amount your suitcase can hold.
